Deburring / Brushing / Cleaning Machine

The workhorse PCB pre-treatment station — combines mechanical brushing, oxide and dust removal, double spraying DI water rinse and drying in one pass. The GE-MB650 is the standard model: 650 mm working width, four pairs of #500 / #300 rollers at 1280 rpm, 12 kW total, plate thickness 0.15 – 3.2 mm.

The Deburring / Brushing / Cleaning Machine is the second station in any PCB production line — right after CNC drilling and before PTH plating. It removes drill burr, surface dust, oxide and fingerprints from the copper, then rinses with DI water and dries the panel so it enters the wet plating process clean and dry. Skipping this step is the single most common cause of dry-film lifting, plating voids and solder-mask adhesion failures downstream.

GE-MB650 Automatic Final PCB Brush Cleaning Machine

The GE-MB650 is the production-line standard for combined brush-cleaning, rinsing and drying. It saves floor space by integrating what would otherwise be three separate stations, and it saves water by recycling the first spray into the second.

Where the Deburring / Brushing / Cleaning Machine sits in your line

The GE-MB650 sits in Step 2 · Deburring & Pre-treatment of the PCB line — after CNC drilling and before PTH plating. For the cleanest pre-treatment, pair it with the PCB brushing machine range upstream and the GE-GBD650 deburring machine for heavy drill burr. The full sequence:

  1. Board cutting & CNC drilling
  2. Deburring / Brushing / Cleaning Machine (this page, GE-MB650) — brush + wash + dry
  3. PTH & copper plating
  4. Etching & stripping
  5. Solder mask & legend
  6. HASL / OSP / ENIG finish

GE-MB650 Deburring / Brushing / Cleaning Machine FAQ

A Deburring / Brushing / Cleaning Machine is a conveyorised PCB pre-treatment station that combines mechanical brushing, oxide and dust removal, water rinse and drying in one pass. The GE-MB650 (Automatic Final PCB Brush Cleaning Machine) is GE's standard model for this step — four pairs of #500 / #300 rollers at 1280 rpm, double spraying rinse, 12 kW.

The GE-MB650 removes oxide, dust, fingerprints and drilling debris from the copper surface of a printed circuit board. It runs four pairs of high-speed brushing rollers (1280 rpm) at 650 mm working width, then rinses with double spraying DI water and dries the panel for the next station.

The GE-MB650 is the standard final PCB cleaning machine — four pairs of rollers, double spraying rinse, 12 kW. The GE-GBD650 is the deburring specialist — same 650 mm width and 12 kW but the primary job is drill-burr removal from hole walls. The two are typically used in sequence: GE-GBD650 first for burr, then GE-MB650 for final cleaning.

GE-MB650 handles PCB plate thickness from 0.15 mm (flex and thin multilayer) up to 3.2 mm (thick backplane and heavy-copper PCB). The conveyor speed is variable 0.5 – 6 m/min.

GE-MB650 uses four pairs of #500 / #300 brushes (alternating 500 and 300 grit). Brushing roller length is 700 mm with 105 mm OD and 32 mm ID. Oscillation stroke 15 mm. Brushing speed 1280 rpm with 1.5 kW motor per roller.

GE-MB650 draws 12 kW from a 380 V / 50 Hz three-phase supply — including 1.5 kW per brushing roller across four pairs, plus the conveyor drive and the rinse pump.

Yes. The GE-MB650 has a built-in double spraying rinse station fed with DI water, followed by a drying section so the panel exits clean and dry for the next station (typically PTH plating). Saves on the footprint of a separate drying oven.

The GE-MB650 sits in Step 2 of the PCB line — after CNC drilling and optional deburring (GE-GBD650), and before PTH & copper plating. It is the final pre-treatment step before the panel enters the wet plating process.
